Canada Team Total OVER 4.5 Goals (+115)

In their first game of the Men's Ice Hockey Tournament, Team Canada shoutout Czechia 5-0. The stacked roster of Canadiens put 36 shots on goal and honestly, looked like they could have had more. Macklin Celebrini opened the scoring playing on the top line with Connor McDavid and Tom Wilson. Mark Stone, Bo Horvat, Nathan MacKinnon and Nick Suzuki were your other goalscorers while McDavid had three assists.

Look for this Canadien team to tweak the rotations a bit as they are playing on the 2nd of a back to back. This could lead to more ice time for guys like Nathan MacKinnon, Brad Marchand, etc. Look for more scoring opportunities as well as the more talented Canada roster could take advantage of the tired legs of the Swiss who's also playing on the 2nd of a back to back.

In net, Akira Schmid of the Vegas Golden Knights will start for Switzerland. It's been a meh season for Schmid, ranking 40th in Goals Saved Above Expected. What is really concerning, is the high rebound rate that Schmid presents. 0.68 Rebounds per Save ranks 38th amongst goalies with at least 20 games played. Canada is too talented to allow second chance opportunities. Look for the Canadiens to knock home some loose pucks in front of the net and score 5 goals in this one.
