# Bettor Day NFL Prop Shop

### Week 2 · September 20th

---

Happy Week 2, Bettor Day family! Brandon Kravitz here, back at it to sort through the best props across the land of sportsbooks and exchanges.

It's week 2 of our **Prop Shop**, where I try to bring you nothing but value, great prices, and highly actionable angles.

We’re 2-3 to start the season *(all plays documented & tracked under our Free Plays tab on the Picks page)*. Not ideal, but this is just the beginning of a long and prosperous marriage. Let’s tie the knot with these Week 2 bangers.

---

## **▶️ KC RB Emmett Johnson OVER 16.5 rushing yards**

### (-116 BetRivers)

I saw it. You saw it. We all saw it. Kenneth Walker was overused in Week 1, as the Chiefs were clearly looking for ways to keep Patrick Mahomes from dropping back against the Denver Broncos’ pass rush.

No QB in the NFL this week had a quicker snap-to-throw time than Mahomes at 2.27 seconds. Second place was Joe Burrow at 2.54\. That’s a wide gap, and it tells me a very specific story: Andy Reid and Eric Bieniemy are protecting their QB, who is coming off major knee surgery and playing behind an offensive line they don’t completely trust.

That’s how we get Kenneth Walker to a whopping 26 touches in Week 1\. That workload is unsustainable for a running back who has dealt with injuries since entering the league in 2022.

So, who benefits? **Emmett Johnson.**

Johnson was the clear No. 2 behind Walker in Week 1, playing 36% of the snaps and carrying the ball eight times for 24 yards. The Chiefs know they leaned heavily on Walker. I’d expect an even healthier dose of Emmett Johnson in Week 2 against a bad rush defense.

## **🐅 CIN TE Mike Gesicki receptions ladder**

### **(OVER 2.5, 3.5, 4.5)**

For the second straight week, the Houston Texans have their hands full with an elite QB and the elite weapons that come with him.

Gesicki flies in as the under-the-radar option here, with most bettors sprinting to the window to play Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins. But what caught my eye in Week 1 was Buffalo exposing a vulnerability in the Texans’ defense: **the middle of the field.**

That vulnerability is both schematic and injury-related. During the game, Houston lost inside linebackers Henry To’oTo’o and Jake Hummel to injuries. To’oTo’o, the more impactful of the two, has since landed on IR. That means the middle of the field could once again be open for business.

Stylistically, Mike Gesicki reminds me a lot of Dalton Kincaid, who torched Houston for five catches and 130 yards. However you decide to play the ladder, I support your decision. I’ll be targeting the receptions.

## **🐎 IND QB Daniel Jones UNDER 8.5 rushing yards**

### **(-110 ProphetX)**

Danny Dimes is now one full game removed from his season-ending Achilles injury, and much like Patrick Mahomes, it’s pretty clear the Colts have a very specific plan for handling their QB.

That plan doesn’t appear to involve much running.

The Colts’ offensive coaching staff built a game plan designed to keep Jones from having to test that previously injured leg. He was asked to primarily operate out of the shotgun, get the ball out quickly, and avoid pushing it downfield. All of that suggests Jones isn’t operating at 100%.

So far, the carry count for Daniel Jones — a QB who absolutely has running in his bag when healthy — sits at **one**. One carry for four yards.

On top of that, it’s not like the Chiefs’ defense is in the business of handing out rushing yards to opposing QBs. Bo Nix managed just three carries for two yards on Monday Night Football.

Even if you zoom out to a healthier and more productive stretch for Jones, his median rushing total over his last 14 starts is four yards — exactly what he produced in Week 1.

**Fade until further notice.**

## **🌉 SF RB Kaelon Black to lead the game in rushing yards**

### **(+400, Hard Rock Bet)**

Let’s have a quick chat about game script and travel.

If the 49ers are concerned about travel impacting their roster, the biggest concern would logically be the veterans and their workloads upon returning to the continental U.S. That could mean a lighter day for Christian McCaffrey.

We already saw a version of this in Week 1\. Indiana rookie Kaelon Black received four more carries than McCaffrey in the land down under.

Then there’s the game-script angle. If this game goes sideways — and it very well could — we could be looking at a full quarter of garbage time. In that scenario, Black becomes the logical workhorse as San Francisco looks to bleed the clock and get out of town.

Bottom line: Black’s Week 1 workload, combined with the travel factors and potential game script, suggests this price should be much tighter to the pack than it is.

**Love the value. Love the play.**
