I truly believe Idaho does not come close to going over 57.5 points Thursday evening. The Vandals will be the worst team the Cougars have faced since Middle Tennessee State back in December, and they only managed 60 points in that matchup.
Through 22 games away from home, the Vandals rank 203rd in adjusted offensive efficiency, 240th in free throw rate, and 177th in three-point percentage.
Idaho has faced just one top-100 team this season. That was Notre Dame, who allowed them to score 65. Before you start questioning the play, keep this in mind. The Fighting Irish rank 202nd in eFG% defense, while Houston owns the fifth-best defense in the country, per Bart Torvik.
Against teams outside the top 100, the Cougars are allowing just 51.7 points per game. I grabbed this number at 55.5, and it has since climbed to 57.5. I do not see Idaho scoring 50 in this one.
