#### 📊 Povich's K-Rate Has Fallen Off a Cliff

On paper, Povich is a lefty starter with strikeout pedigree — 24.2% K-rate in 2025, 21.8% career. The 4.5 line at +104 looks beatable on the Over.

Now look at what's actually happening in 2026:

- **K-rate: 16.2% — 17th percentile** (well below league average)
- **xERA: 4.93 — 26th percentile** — peripherals worse than his 4.41 ERA
- **Hard-Hit %: 44.2% — 25th percentile** — hitters are squaring him up
- **2026 sample: 11 strikeouts in 16.1 IP** (just under 6 K/9)
- **Whiff %: 28.1%** — fine in isolation, but his fastball velo dipped to 91.8 mph and his K-rate dropped 8 percentage points from 2025

The story isn't that Povich can't miss bats — it's that the version of him we're seeing in 2026 isn't the one priced into a 4.5 line.
